Our Process
The decision to build a home is a very personal experience and while we do have staged milestones to assist you in reaching your goals, the design and building process can be tailored to suit your needs, budget and timeframe.
Our start-to-finish process takes five months to complete and can be divided into six clear stages – commencing with design and finishing with you taking ownership of your new home. Each step is detailed below.
1. SELECT & MODIFY
Meet with the BBS team to select the home design, land and finishes to suit your budget and lifestyle. You can work with our architect to make any modifications to personalise your home.
2. COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION
We will commence building your home as soon as your land is ready. We can plan ahead to ensure we are ready to start construction as soon as you are.
3. PROGRESS PAYMENTS
Throughout the building progress you will be required to make progress payments at each completed stage which we will outline with you at our first meeting.
4. COMPLETION
At completion and prior to making final payment, you will have the opportunity to walk through your new home and check the quality of our build. We will be there to showcase our work and discuss any maintenance required.
5. MOVE IN
The most exciting step of all is when BBS officially hand over the keys to your new home. We will show you through and discuss manuals and warranties before leaving you to enjoy!
6. MAINTENANCE & WARRANTY PERIOD
Once you move into your new home, you will have a 90-day maintenance period where you can let us know about any items that may need fixing. You will also have a 7-year building warranty.
