How long does a renovation take in Canberra?
Bathrooms typically run 4 to 8 weeks. Kitchens 6 to 10 weeks. Whole home renovations and extensions usually take 4 to 9 months depending on scope and council approvals. We'll give you a clear timeline at quote stage and update you weekly during the build.
Do you handle ACT council approvals and DA applications?
Yes. We manage all relevant approvals: building approval, development applications where required, energy ratings, and engineering. That covers ACT Planning and Land Authority and Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council for our NSW projects, so you don't have to chase paperwork.
What's included in your fixed-price renovation quote?
Everything we know you'll need: detailed itemised pricing for materials, labour, finishes, fixtures, and approvals. The only things that change pricing are genuine variations you request mid-build, and we always quote those in writing before proceeding.
Do you offer design services for Canberra renovations?
We offer in-house design for most renovations, extensions and bathroom / kitchen work. For more complex architectural projects we collaborate with trusted Canberra architects. Either way, you get one builder accountable from design through to handover.
Can we live in the home during the renovation?
Often yes, especially for kitchen, bathroom or extension work where we can stage the build to keep parts of the home liveable. For whole home renovations we'll talk through what's realistic at consultation stage.
Which Canberra suburbs and surrounding areas do you renovate in?
